Dear members of IGDA,

We are proud to announce our Business SIG meeting on the 4th of November at Spilhuset on Pilestræde.

What: Crowdsourcing a curriculum
When: 4th of November @ 6 pm
Where: Spilhuset @ Pilestræde 43, 3rd floor, 1112 Copenhagen K

ITU is planning on introducing Business Development as an elective course for the Master in Media Technology and Games. The goal of such a course is to provide students with a solid understanding of the business operations of the games industry, as well as equipping them with some of the tools and connections they will need if they choose to start their own studios on graduation.

In cooperation with the IGDA.DK Business SIG, we would like to invite you to come along and share your experiences and requirements from such a course with us. We are looking to gain an insight into the requirements of the games industry from such a course, from an employers', publishers', or investors' perspective, and also from current or former students as to how such a course could help them fail less or succeed more whilst navigating the early stages of building a business.

After the talk/discussion - we will head off to Byens Kro for a couple of beers! Byens Kro is located just around the corner on Møntergade 8, 1116 København K.

If you have a particular interest in discussing this SIG meeting in advance, please contact David Mariner via dm@igda.dk.

The Special Interest Groups are networking groups for people with a professional interest in a special are of game development. The groups faciliate networking & sharing of knowledge through regular events. Participation is free.

Looking forward to seeing you all!
