Arr, matey! Seaworthy Coder wanted for the Ghost Ship crew!

Are you the crewmate we are searching for?
We are searching for an experienced game programmer with a broad range of skills. You will join a small team of dedicated engineers, and your job will consist of a wide range of tasks depending on current need and your skillset. The game features procedural content generation, online co-op and lots of interlocking game systems. An octopus-like mentality is strongly encouraged, as well as the ability to take charge of a task and running with it.

Requirements:
  • Strong skill set and experience within PC and Console game development
  • Profound skills in C++
  • You have shipped a game
  • Ability to thrive in an open game development environment
  • Strong work ethic and communication skills
  • Open to direction, feedback, and discussion
  • 5+ years industry experience
Plusses
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and Perforce
  • Neither math nor game design scares you
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications
  • A passion for putting your mark on the final product
  • Not prone to seasickness :-)
Practical info
  • Job start is “any time soon”
  • Wage depends on qualifications
  • Our office is located in Copenhagen, Denmark - though it’s just a regular office, not a real ship yet!
  • Apply as soon as possible as we will review applications continuously
What can we offer?
We are offering a chance to join a startup game studio heading out for new exciting adventures on the high seas of hope. The game project you will work on is Deep Rock Galactic. It is in an early state of development, and you will be an integral part of the team with direct influence on the production and the game. As it is a co-op game, we are having playtests each day and we expect all crew to take part in the fun, give feedback and contribute with ideas.

How to contact us?
If you are our new game programmer, then send a motivated application and CV to jobs@ghostship.dk.

Who are we?
Ghost Ship Games (http://www.ghostship.dk/) is a new Danish game development studio, founded in the spring of 2016 by a group of veteran game developers. We will turn Ghost Ship Games into a solid game studio, able to compete with other mid-size game studios on Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Our motto is simple:Co-op First.
We will take Co-op to the next level and make great games, focused on the core gamer.
For the big studios, co-op is a bullet point. For us, it is the whole point
