Re: HDR

Cool - it looks like a straight implementation of http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/GDC2003_DSTEAL.ppt - did you do anything extra with it? Not sure about freeware hdr-images, but I believe you can buy them from http://www.hdri-locations.com/ Cheers, well.. it's not a straight implementation ...

Trees, Grass and Shadows

Hi users, I have question about rendering shadows on grass billboards. This is not a question about anything missing or not working in OpenSceneGraph, but a question how to solve a problem with shadows and grass. The problem is the grass are created using a shader that creates billboard instances, s...

Re: shader graph

Hi Henning,

The shader graph tool plugin for 3dsmax is very cool too, I saw this a couple of years ago. But I can't remember
the company that made it nor can I remember the name of the tool.

We are developing shaders in OpenGL

shader graph

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any software that can create a shader graph and combine it to a final shader code?
Doesn't have to be visual (but that would be cool).

anyone,
Peter

PS: If you don't understand my question.. say so.. and I'll go into more detail.

Re: IO Interactive presents Mini Ninjas

ah it's a game not real life! I actually think it's a very cool trailer,.. they disappear and come back with ninja weapons the fire lighting again (it's dramatic!) .. perhaps it's you that needs to go to a cinematics crew and get some coaching. Jeg er helt enig i det er en fed trailer, no doubt - d...

Re: IO Interactive presents Mini Ninjas

Cool grafisk stil og tema! - bliver spændende at se gameplay footage. NB: Lidt wierd at heltene i videoen forsvinder da "Helgast" samuraierne kommer og så dukker de op lige foran dem igen...What's the point?! - Rigtige ninjaer vill da poppe op bag dem og backstabbe løs! :P (de "tænder" endda bålet ...

Re: Den bedste 3D spil engine?

Hi, if you want to compare your game idea with for example the top 10-20 games on a game hitlist.. you will see that they all are made with c++ c# is growing and probably will continue too. I assume you don't have millions to start development, so you will probably have to go open-source to start wi...

Re: Perlin Noise (Tileable)?!

Sådan som jeg forstår det, så burde det være PerlinNoise1D i stedet for IntNoise der skal kaldes: -code float f = ( (1.0f-x)*PerlinNoise1D(x)+x*PerlinNoise1D(x-1.0f) ); --code PerlineNoise1D is your "main" point for getting the data. Its the method that adds the different "layers" of noise together...

Hi all, A lot of people don't seem to know that there is a software called OpenSceneGraph which is fantastic for scenegraph/rendering. If you plan on making an engine you probably should check it out. I have create a website to help people get started with using OpenSceneGraph at http://osghelp.com ...
