New to Copehagen and possibly looking for partners

Unread post by PaoloL » 26 Aug 2013, 23:55

Hi everyone. 12 months ago, when I was still leaving in London, I have opened a small company called DazzleCube LTD (a UK company). I took a concept idea for a game and, with the help of a really simple 2D engine, turned it into an iOS game. Such game has won a competition, will be tweaked and then turned into a Dilbert game (apparently IGDA and Scott Adams liked it). Furthermore, I am in the process of closing a couple of licencing deals (Italy and USA) for the code. A success? Well, all of the above will probably help the company to survive while I plan the next, important, steps. Having recently moved to Copenhagen, here I am trying to network with the local talented gaming community.

So here is the issue for mobile game developers as I see it: either you manage to rack up substantial press backing via an exceptional product, the best product, or you will need to launch a game a month in order to grow a significant user base. Either way, as a solo developer, mission impossible (well, maybe the Dilbert game will manage to attract attention, but I am thinking more broadly here). So, in order to give a future to my company, I would love to find one (or more) partners in Copehagen (where I have recently moved with my family).

If any of you in the community is interested in starting a new project in the world of casual (mobile) games, you want to help capitalise my forthcoming projects and you are familiar with a relevant technology and/or game design, I would love to meet up and discuss.
