Ste Curran: The Slow Death Of Punk Rock
On pop music, growing old and growing up: The Slow Death of Punk Rock draws parallels between the development of the music industry and the videogame industry and asks what we can learn about the development and commercialisation of a creative subculture. It’s also a story about an old friend and a concert, memory and time, and it's being performed here for the first time in two years.
Speaker's Corner:
After doing several micro talks, SpilBar is ready to open Speaker's Corner. Everyone is invited to prepare a 5 minute talk on any topic - visuals are optional but recommended. We have room for up to 5 speakers. Just bring your idea. We will decide on the day who gets to talk.
Exhibition of classic Danish games
SpilBar usually does a call for games to be shown at the events, but not this time. Instead, we will exhibit a collection of the most important Danish digital games, which formed the Danish industry and cultural understanding of games. At this exhibition we primarily focus on older titles, so you can try classic Danish games like Piet Hein's Nimbi (1967), Kaptajn Kaper (1981), Blackout (1997), Hugo (1991), and Total Overdose (2005).
This time Spilbar is sponsored by Producentforeningen and Interactive Denmark.
