I'm not a huge Warhammer (40K) guy. I was mainly fascinated with some of the Space Hulk games (board and digital) in my younger years.

Also haven't watched a whole lot of Warhammer fan films. But my general impression is that they usually looks kind of corny and janky.

But this teaser for an upcoming fan-short looks absolutely amazing! It's so dark, gritty and grim. Love it!
Hopefully they will also be able to tell a compelling story. But I'll take it just for the visuals alone. :D

Estimated spring 2021 release.

#AkiRobots from Flatponies now has a Steam page. Also Julie Heyde (Flatponies,VRUnicorns,Bandello) is featured on Troldspejlet & Co. talking about the game and her background and a bit of Rebots.

The episodes also features the story of 3DRealms. Now residing in Aalborg. And a talk with Frederik Schreiber.

Nice! Roll-able displays incoming!
I'm sure the early generations of the tech will need some maturing. And the price point will be in the very high end of the spectrum.

And also it might be an extra hassle to support for developers.

But damn it's sexy! 😍

I'm sure most of you out there are already doing this! :)

But this is Just a friendly recommendation. You should really block Ads from YouTube.
I know I post a lot of youtube links. And they come with ads for the most part. And there is really no realistic way of getting around it. But I don't really feel you should waste your precious life on watching ads on YouTube. Or anywhere else for that matter if you can avoid it.

Personally I am using uBlock Origin as a Firefox extension quite successfully. There are plenty of other options of cause. Feel free to explore!! But uBlock Origin has been super efficient in my daily use and I can give it my personal recommendation.

It's Free.
Open source with public license (GPLv3)
For users by users.
So that's pretty cool! So give it a go!

uBlock Origin
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ent=search

Also I do recommend Firefox as a webbrowser in general. I ditched Chrome yeeeears ago.

Grab Firefox here
http://www.mozilla.org/

I did give Brave a bit of time as an 'newish' alternative browser. But it had it's fair share of issues. Stability, YouTube Ads didn't always get blocked. And there are also some site compatibility issues.
Update: oh nice! Found out Firefox now supports audio on a turned off screen as well as the uBlock Origin. Bye Brave on mobile.

Please don't waste your life watching ads. This is not hurt good hard working content creators. But I'd rather see less money for bigtech and less wasted time.

So IO Interactive's next project is set be to revealed in about 40 minutes at time of writing.
Set in a 'new universe' whatever that may be.

A lot of fans are most certainly wanting a Freedom Fighters 2. But I'm pretty sure that is off the table this time around. Could be a candidate for later if it makes sense for IOI. But that is yet to be seen. Also the market space for military shooty shooty games is pretty permanently saturated. So I don't have the most realistic expectations for a FF2 just around the corner. They would have to bring something really special to really make a dent if they went down that route.

But it' super exiting to see what they have en store. Hope it will be awesome! :D

I have no idea what they are working on. But I would give some sort of online multiplayer game a fair chance of possibility.
I guess we'll know soon. Very soon! :)

So they wait is over. IO Interactive is working on a Bond game. So far dubbed 'Project 007' :)

Wouldn't exactly call it a 'new universe'. ;)
I had hoped for something completely fresh and new.

But yeah sure!.. a Bond game plays a lot to IOI's strengths. It makes a whole lot of sense they are the studio to lift that project.
Also the existing Hitman fanbase is a great fit.

The big question is what kind of Bond game. Guessing it will be a lot closer to Hitman than Goldeneye.

Wondering how much they will lean on the new Bond movie. Word on the street is that it will be a bit of a franchise suicide attempt. 🥶 But lets see!
I don't hope a possible negative movie reception will rub IOI against the hairs.
I fully expect the game to be it's own thing and not be a movie license conversion.

Looking forward to actual details about the new 007 project. 😁

...........
So some more details emerged from the new Project 007. So sounds like it will be more of a single player focus.

"Project 007 (working title) is a brand new James Bond video game with a wholly original story. Earn your 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story, to be developed and published by @IOInteractive"

And more here
https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/ ... roject-007

.....
So the whole origin story is quite interesting. Guess it could take the game back in time to the fifties/sixties? Classic James Bond setting. Full on Sean Connery. (RIP)
The question is exactly which 007 agent they are portraying. Might not be the very first Bond. But the first origin story of a 007 agent.
Modern movie James Bond interpretations in all it's over the top action splendor has really pushed the mood in the newer movies far away from the classic James Bond feel. It would be an interesting (and super cool) move if IOI returned to classic Bond.

Though the title reveal has a quite modern CG polished look to it . So that could be an argument against classic James Bond setting. But also has a bit of retro vibe. Hard to pin down exactly. Hmmmmm.

Hehe also lots of friends in my FB feed posting about working on the project. Big grats to IOI and them all! yay! :D

A bit of DK indie spotting. Kingdom Fall Pre-Alpha Showcase from 2 man team Skeleton Game Studios.

Kingdom Fall is a dark and difficult, open world, rogue-lite, pixel art game with just enough RPG elements to make every playthrough your own.

Streams from Aalborg University hosted ViZARTS Summit 2020 on virtual movie production. Could have useful applications game cutscene production. Even for smaller teams. Some 7-8 hours worth of talk.
