(Yes it should be NFTs)
So even more DK scifi stuff! Joining the recent Danish scifi trend with our game DarkSwarm from Bitfire Games. Void Crew from hutlihut and now Providence from Dynasty studios.
(Technically speaking Dynasty Studios is not a Danish studio as the company is not a registered here) But they do have development here as well as in Turkey.
Actually Just talked with their lead tech a few days ago at Spilprisen. One of my old friends and colleagues back from Logic Artists where Dynasty Studios originated from. Nice to see the project surface now! First time for me to see or even hear about!
Project looks ambitious!

No reveal yet of what platforms it might come to. But since it's a blockchain game I might suspect it will be some sort of self hosted downloadable thing?! Or possibly on the Epic store since I recall that Epic would not ban blockchain related projects. We will see where it lands!
And also interesting how the whole NFT/Blockchain thing will work out for them. So far it has clearly landed them a sizeable investment. ($5M / 33.6M DKK).
Adding: I do have some concerns, as gamers that actually likes to play games in the estimated target group has rejected NFT based games on a pretty broad societal scale. So out of the box they will have some fairly large challenges there. Also it's a new IP from a new company and it is self published (as known so far) just to make things harder.
Noting, NFT games is something I don't follow very closely so I could be wrong. But from the information I can gather and project from. It will not be an easy task to lift, purely based on the circumstances they have created for the project.
NFT's and blockchain is a pretty dodgy world of speculation where everything seems like a hot potato pyramid scheme waiting for the next rug pull as scammers and criminal enterprises can do anything they like with very little (if any) fear of consequences. The freedom of the blockchain is also it's own worst enemy. So I understand the average gamer is not super keen on jumping into that.
I truly hope my old wonderful colleagues has pure intentions and just got a bit caught up in the gist of time.

Adding, my personal friendly recommendation would be to pivot away from the whole tainted world of NFT's and blockchain. Hopefully the game should be good enough to stand on it's own.

Providence - Official Trailer
**A few updates in the post.
It will also be F2P + NFTs. Though it seemed like they toned down the NFT part in their external communication.
