Neflix has revealed their games strategy. And it's mobile! Apple Arcade style. At no additional cost to subscribers.
One could have speculated that they would move into cloud streaming. But seems like they didn't fall into that trap.
Not really sure this push will be that much a boost to the service really. But perhaps your company could pitch mobile projects and get it produced as client projects without trashy F2P mechanics on known IP. Sounds like a nice opportunity for devs!

The Wayward Realms from some of the fathers of the original Elder Scrolls has been announced.
The Danish Benni Jensen aka. Julian Jensen aka. Julien LeFay aka. Magician 42 is on the team.
Under the direction of Ted Peterson and Julian LeFay, lead developers of the team behind the original Elder Scrolls, Arena and Daggerfall, OnceLost Games is creating a new open-world fantasy RPG where choice and consequence are experienced on a scale never attempted before.
Developed in Unreal Engine 5 and clearly in early development.
Animation and and environment art looks pretty wonky imho and not really up to par at a high-end commercial level in this day and age. Let's hope they get a kick ass team togehter to take game to the next level. I'm confident (or hopeful atleast) that the project will improve visually immensly over time. Release is many moons out so there should be plenty of time to fix up on that. And guessing it's further out than Bethesda's Elder Scrolls 6 and Obsidian Entertainment's Avowed.
The Wayward Realms Teaser Trailer
Reposting the Julian LeFay interview
**Update there seems to be some trouble around development and the people around the project. Interesting. Belluar has a run down.
But it does indeed sound concerning! Directionless development, talking about the game and not doing the game and a lot of ego has joined hands with an extreme scope. Even with all the technical development experience and talent in the world. This could indeed be the worst cocktail for any startup and game development project.
At the end of the day people has to be able to work together on a unified vision to realize the game or suffer the conseqences.
And that takes great leadership to achieve. Great leadership as in good people skills, decision making skills and communication skills.
And the ability to put in the work required to lift it.
So let's see where it goes! Lets hope it will turn out great regardless of start up troubles!

Worth knowing for console developers in Unity!
Also I would indeed expect various increments of pricing increases for Unity from now on. After never having been a profitable company and recently have gone public. They have burning a lot of investor capital growing the company through hiring and acquicisions and getting ready for going public in September 2020. Two of the founders has certainly ca$$$$hed in! I can only assume the time has come to start becoming a profitable company so more pricing/licensing tweaks is probably to be expected to roll out gradually over the coming years. But it will take some time before they get there. And 3,379 Employees by 2020 is a lot of mouths feed meanwhile.
Going forward, Unity devs will need Unity Pro to publish on consoles
In late June, Unity quietly updated its licensing policy requirements for developers working on “closed platforms” like Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.
Unity developers starting new projects will now need either a Unity Pro license or a Preferred Platform License Key to develop for these platforms.

DK nostalgica review of Total Overdose from now defunct Deadline Games. Review by GmanLives in August 2021.
I worked for Deadline Games back in 2000/2001. But not this project.. first game job many moons ago! Did 3D art on some of the fairly unknown kids games back then.
Total Overdose was developed in the inhouse developed Kapow engine. I think it was the third rewrite of the engine for Total Overdose and was quite nice for the time.
A lot of the old Deadlines are still active in the Danish games industry. Maybe a quarter or less?

Nordisk Games divests its share in Raw Fury
On August 16, 2021 we announced, that the investment fund Altor has acquired a majority part of the Swedish game publisher Raw Fury. As part of the deal, we in Nordisk Games have divested our minority stake.
We have been part of Raw Fury’s incredible growth story for three years and believe that founder Jónas Antonsson and his team in Raw Fury are among the top indie publishers globally.
Recently, Raw Fury’s leadership team and the owners, us included, were approached by Altor to explore further investment in the studio. After careful discussions with Jónas and the Raw Fury team, we felt that the offer from Altor was the right path for them while allowing us a very good return on our investment.
