Exile Jam 2011

Exile Jam and Copenhagen Game Collective invites you to a get away from the daily office work to join other game developers for a creative and cozy weekend.

We meet up Thursday (28/4) and jam till Saturday. Saturday evening we have a party with dinner and party till Sunday.

The jam is happening at the same time as the online Ludum Dare jam (http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/) and even though we don’t plan to follow their theme you are of course free to participate in both.

Who:
Around 50 game developers and indies from Scandinavia and the surrounding countries.

When:
From Thursday 28/4/2011 to Sunday 1/5/2011

Location:
At the beautiful old folk highscool Vallekilde (Højskole) that also provides a bed for every participant.

Price:
It will be approximately 400 DKK per participant for a place to sleep, food, alcohol, party and whatever we come up with. We are currently working on reducing the price and organizing a bus from Copenhagen to the place.
Payment will happen in the week before when we know exactly how much it will cost us. The event is non profit and the primary costs are food, transport and party.

We have very recently extended Exile to start Wednesday evening (27th from 18:30) with a light introduction to game development, that is expected to evolve into a workshop during thursday. This is primarily aimed at the game students at Vallekilde, but you are welcome to join as well, free of charge for the extra night.

It is also ok to work on "own stuff" throughout the workshop.

By Car

EQUIPMENT AND STUFF TO BRING
Computers, tablets, papers, pens, ideas, inspiration, or whatever you need to create a game. A toothbrush and a towel might also be a good idea.

The school offers linen, so there is no need to bring a sleepingbag.
