1. The Nordic Game group is getting ready for GC Leipzig 2008
Nordic Game will once again be participating Europe’s largest games event, Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany on 20-24 August, this year with a group of 13 participating Nordic companies.

The Nordic Game booth is located in the GC Developers' Village, Hall 2, #F20, and will feature a business lounge, meeting rooms and private demo stations. As usual, the organisers have prepared a special networking event during the convention as well.

The following Nordic companies are ready to represent the region at the Nordic Game booth: Frecle (DK), Futuremark Games Studio (FI), Guppyworks (DK), Hansoft (SE), HaptX (SE), Housemarque (FI), Nordic Softsales (SE), Pan Vision (SE), Pixolane (FI), Press Play (DK), Redlynx (FI), The! Game Incubator (SE) and Unity 3D (DK).

2. Apply for Crossover Nordic 2008 and win 100 000 SEK
Crossover Nordic is looking for twenty experienced and established GAME, FILM, TV, ANIMATION, MOBILE or NEW MEDIA creators from the Nordic countries, to take part in a five-day residential laboratory designed to develop innovative cross-platform projects.

Between the 15-19th September 2008 twenty talented and responsive individuals will meet at a beautiful, all expenses paid retreat on the Swedish West Coast, to explore the creative and commercial challenges of developing new content and services for digital delivery in a 360-commissioning world.

The finale will result in a pitch to a panel of experienced commissioners from different media sectors, to take place at the Financial Forum, Nordisk Panorama 5 Cities Film Festival on the 28th of September! 2008, with a chance to win the Crossover development prize of 100 000 SEK. 3. Call from NordForsk
NordForsk launches a call for Nordic Private Public Partnership (PPP) PhD Projects. The aim of the NordForsk PPP PhD programme is to contribute to the opening up of the Nordic Research and Innovation Area, NORIA, by promoting trans-Nordic academia-industry collaboration and knowledge exchange.

4. Summer has come...
