Data analysis in online games - workshop for game developers
November 22nd 9:30-16:00, Njalsgade 128, building 24, 5th fl.
• WHY DO YOUR CUSTOMERS PLAY YOUR GAME?
• WHY DO THEY QUIT?
• HOW CAN YOU STOP THEM?
• COME AND LEARN ABOUT GAME DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSING
• DISCUSS WITH LEADING EXPERTS HOW TO DO IT FOR YOUR OWN GAME
Data are value! Analysing data about use in online games can give you crucial insights into your player’s behaviour; Such as why they stay and why they leave and where you might want to focus your design efforts in the future.
In this workshop we will give you an introduction to the basic aspects of data collection and analysis in online games and to the findings of a recent research project. The research project is made in cooperation with the danish company WatAGame focusing on GoSuperModel - financed by the Computergame Zone and the University of Copenhagen focusing on playertypes, churn and retention measures in online games.
