360 degree movie - suggestions?

Hello,
I have access to a 360 degree camera like google street view, but it's also able to record spherical movies.
In relation to that I wish to make a player similar to google street view, where users can control the view direction.
How would you go about that? I have the movie in a standard unity compatible format and it's in a spherical movie format - similar to a skybox just with 3x2 squares beside each other.
Any suggestions as to how I can achieve that? I was thinking about a movie texture on the inside of a sphere. But I wish to have it as efficient as possible in terms of memory - hence I would love advice from you?
Also please tell me if you need me to elaborate on the project.
