Games are nothing without players. Getting players to play your game can either cost a huge marketing budget or demand a creative marketing campaign and a very creative mind. Danish video game developers often have very small marketing budgets. At the Engage and Play seminar we will look at how to reach a broad audience without blockbuster budgets.

The main topic of this year’s game seminar is how to engage players. How to drive them to play your game but also how to make them stay and be creative and even become your marketer.

Among the speakers are Kellee Santiago, who were partner and founder of That Game Company, one of the most famous games companies in the last few years, and Catherine Warren from Canadian Fantrust, that makes as business out of engaging users and creating communites in both films and games. We have also invited Danish games developers to tell us their experiences with engaging users – among them are the first Danish Kickstarter success from the video games realm, Logic Artists.

Video games are born digital and the digital world is ideal for viral marketing, communities, user engagement, etc. This experience can also be used in other related businesses such as film and TV.

Where: Carl, Filmhuset, Copenhagen
When: November 27th 2012 from 9.00 til 17.00

We hope to see a lot of people from in and around the games industry and related businesses. Everyone is welcome but sign-up is necessary.
