GROWING GAMES KICK OFF

Where: Egmont, at Vognmagergade 11, 1148 Copenhagen
When: 29 April, from 10-16
Why: The difference between being a couple of people with a good idea, and an established company making cool products for customers who pay, is execution - and a lot of hard work. If you want to know more about how and if you are willing to work, we have the workshop for you.

[UPDATE] Growing from a good idea to a sustainable company

This first workshop invites you to ask how you plan to go from finding your identity as a start-up, to becoming a sustainable interactive media company. We have invited three interesting people to kick off the discussion – and we want to hear from you.

Søren Ammundsen, founder of Divine and the man behind the online children's game Miniklub, has walked the walk from brand new startup to a successful company. Hear how he did it and what you should be thinking about to do the same.

Lars Buch, managing director of Startupbootcamp Mobile, returns to Growing Games to share his experience working with a wide variety of start-ups in both media, digital, games and more.

Jan Neiiendam, director of Interactive Denmark, will address the interactive media industry in Denmark, what it takes to go from newbie start-up to international success - and how Interactive Denmark will help you.

The speakers will provide inspiration, but you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get your hands dirty, sparring with each other and our mentors. You will work based on a set of tools we provide that will help focus your strategy and goals. Together, the sparring and the tools will give you concrete results that you can apply in your future work.

You will have the chance to test your pitch in front of a panel including our host, Egmont’s Head of Innovation, Maz Spork.

Workshop #2: Monetisation - making sure you make money off your business model!
While we have your attention - make sure to mark down May 14, where the IT University will host our second workshop in Growing Games 2014.

You are thinking that of course you will monetise at some point - but do you know how?

Our second event is your chance to put your business model to the test. We have invited some of the top minds to inspire your work - and you will get your hands dirty with your own business model, find out how best to monetise off of it and maybe find entirely new ways to design your product.

Mark down May 14 and keep an eye on the Growing Games website for updates on this event.
