Finally we at Books & Magic are ready to reveal what we have been working so hard on the past year.
We are bringing the original H. C. Andersen's fairy tale "The Little Mermaid" to life!

A new beautifully illustrated physical book combined with an mobile app that recognizes each illustration and in a magical way reveals the world of the little mermaid, directly on top of the book and as if it is part of our real world.

I saw a demo at Nordic Game having lunch with Mark.
The augmented reality tracking of the book was working really well.

There was some smaller animated trigger events on the iPad. But I didn't notice any game mechanics per se. Or I have forgotten.
Are there some sort of mini games in there somewhere?

Yes, this is not just a visual gimmick. It has casual games and puzzles in the scene that are closely tied into the story and settings.
