A few DK games with playables.

Playtest demo of Airhead from our basement buddies Octato.
Played an earlier version. That version wasn't really me. But give it a shot and see for yourself! :)
They should have gotten performance under better control now. And I heard they got some good player feedback from happy players,

The Figment 2 Creed Valley Prologue.
I gave an earlier Steam days demo a play. It was actually quite nice at the time.

ILL from Clout Games has been revealed. And it's looking really sweet.

I've been following the artist (Oleg Vdovenko) for a while. Hyper talented guy!
Don't know if this is a complete solo project. But regardless I would expect quite the time before an eventual release.

And big news from YoYo Games. The makers of Game Maker. They just got bought by the browser company Opera.
Not the most obvious candidate so lets see where it goes. Surely it will strengthen the export for the gaming browser Opera GX.

Hmm.. Not convinced a gaming specific browser will turn super many heads.
Otherwise Opera is a generally great browser.. though I really hate their tab switching. Super annoying. It should just be instant left/right. No bullshit.

Edit: Oh there is a promovid of Opera GX

Personally I have gone Vivaldi on desktop https://vivaldi.com/ (Or more correctly.. I am evaluating it). With dark mode, uBlock Origin and their really cool splitscreen browsing feature.
On mobile I have switched back to Brave https://brave.com/. Dark mode, playing videos in the background is super sweet and great (far from perfect) ad-blocking out of the box.

Dumped Firefox for mobile as it got really annoying and didn't work really well with background playing of youtube videos anyways as I initially thought. And had problems with refreshing pages and would move buttons around ever so slightly when I was about tapping them on YT when trying to add the to the watch later list. Super annoying!
Ad blocking with uBlock was great though.
I have tried a bunch on mobile. Haven't found the perfect fit yet.

Anyways here goes the full press blurb.

Super flot.

Googles Stadia is closing down internally developed titles i production.

Well well... I could easily see another dead Google product in a while. 🤔
I know only one person who signed up for Stadia. Not sure if he is still subscribing to their services or not.

A few days old. But Hitman 3 broke even (at least for development costs) after the first week on the market (Consoles + Epic Store). Much sooner than expected. I guess it doesn't include marketing costs?! Anyways.. things are super sweet!
Well done IOI!

I should most certainly force some 'gamedev math' upon myself. :blush When not being a programmer by heart. But playing around in eg. Blueprint I have a notion some expanded knowledge in the field might come in handy.
Might be of use to you as well!

As mentioned the Steam Game Festival is on! (Actually it's not good for productivity) :rolleyes

I grabbed some 40 demos. :blush It will be a long grind. Hope to cover most of the downloads.
I usually give them anything from a few seconds to a full demo playthrough depending on quality.
Will update if I find something useful worth sharing. Should have some time over the weekend.

Found a few goodies so far!

Narita Boy (finally with a demo!) And it's pretty cool!

Action adventure platformer LUNARK (Basically Flashback from the Amiga but better)

Found a bit more from Steam Game Festival worth a play!

Charming and beautiful action puzzle adventure Retro Machina

Fifties styled schump Squadron 51. (It has nothing on SkyForce.. but I kind of like it anyways)

Close to the Geometry Wars series is Devastator (recommending turning down the overly flashy parts of the game in the settings)
Also.. it's hard! Also I actually find it more to my liking than Geometry Wars.

Bloodroots.. sort of a crazy toony over the top "Hotline Miami" insta-death and retrys. Hard with split second timing. Really polished and nice!

Amazing voxel tech from programmer John Lin. So far the project doesn't really have an official name.
Most certainly looks even more impressive than Teardown. And that was pretty damn sweet!

Bluedrake42 has a nice hype-mode-on run down of some of the features.
