Hi everybody.
As Anders also wrote in the IGDA forum, IGDA is launching some Special Interest Groups and on this occasion I would also like to start a Special Interest Group in graphics programming.
The Special Interest Group in graphics programming is a group under IGDA (membership not required) for anybody with a keen interest in anything graphics related in game programming. The agenda of the group will be defined by its participants, and it is therefore up to YOU to decide what we will be doing. Potential events could be:
- Presentations of new techniques employed by the industry as well as students and hobby developers.
- Request for Comments. Present your new idea and get feedback and advice from your peers.
- Bring your new favorite book/article. If you have just read an interesting book/article, share it with everybody!
So if you think in HLSL, dream about shadow maps or if you are just a regular guy interested in graphics programming (apparently they exist), then do not hesitate to show up at the Scrollbar at ITU the 25th of June at 18:30, where there will be a launch party for the group along with four other Special Interest Groups under IGDA.
Best regards,
Per Rasmussen.
P.s. I apologize for the crosspost(-ish), but I figured that the people for whom this was relevant, would mainly hang out in this forum.
