Posted: 21 Sep 2009, 14:50
Hello audio people!
Hope you all had a great Summer! I am writing to inform you that the program for the Audio SIG meetings in Autumn 2009 are:
When: Wednesday 28 October @ 18:00
Where: Cafe Retro - 'stillerum'
Subject: Project Horror - concept development of an audio game
Jens Andersen - game design student at ITU and currently a Master student at Danmarks Biblioteksskole - will talk about "audio game" design. He will dig into research articles on blind people and their gaming habits and their criteria for good game audio. Furthermore he will talk about how to implement it into a game prototype and demonstrate some game design examples.
When: Thursday 26 November @ 18:00
Where: Cafe Retro - 'stillerum'
Subject: Sound Design to Limbo
Martin Stig Andersen has an interesting background in electroacoustic music composition and film music/sound design. He is currently working as sound designer at Playdead and will talk about his experience and challenges on the project.
These talks are just a warm-up to get the discussions started regarding the subject of game audio. If you have any other suggestions on game audio subjects - please feel free to pitch in!
Also please forward this e-mail invitation to any of your contacts with a keen interest in game audio.
Looking forward to meeting you all for a warm brew at Cafe Retro during this Autumn.
Best regards,
Nevin Eronde
