Dare to be Digital challenge info meeting @ ITU 18th. Feb.
Posted: 13 Feb 2010, 22:48
We at the Norwegian School of Information Technology (NITH) in Oslo are ramping up our game-related activities this year. Among other things we’re in charge of the Scandinavian section of the Dare to be Digital game development competition for university and college students at Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland.
The event is already a great success in the UK, and we're anxious to get the ball rolling in Scandinavia as well. The competition starts with filling out an application form on the Dare to be Digital site , followed by an online selection of the most promising projects and interview sessions with the teams. The teams whose projects are selected for the final round in Scotland get a 10 week all expenses paid stay in the Development Hothouse with support from industry specialists in order to develop their game. The competition should be attractive to any student who wants to get more hands-on experience with game development and get noticed in the industry.
I, Stein Llanos, and Marius Brendmoe, an NITH student who attended the finals in Scotland last year, will host an information meeting at ITU in Rued Langgaards Vej 7, 2300 København S , Auditorium 2 from 16:00-17:00 on Thursday the 18th of February.
We look forward to seeing many of you there!
