Description:
Press Play is an award winning game studio situated in the heart of beautiful Copenhagen. We were recently acquired by Microsoft Studios and are now looking to staff up on our projects. As a first party developer the studio’s focus is to create groundbreaking and creative titles for both consoles and mobile devices.

We are looking for a gameplay programmer who has the drive and skill set to take ownership of key areas in the development of our next console title. You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a wide range of systems across the game and must be able to turn your attention to any aspect of the game. You must also be able to work closely with the rest of the team in order to realize the game.

You could be an experienced programmer from the games industry, a talented newly graduated student with a degree in a relevant subject area e.g. Computer Science, or you may have experience from DADIU projects (maybe as a lead) or other game development projects during your study. Regardless you are definitely looking for an opportunity to evolve and perfect your skills in the art of game development.



Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design and prototyping of game mechanics
  • Development of a wide range of systems including gameplay, UI
  • Contribute towards optimization and performance gains
  • Ensure software is developed to acquired standards
  • Assist in the creation of tools
  • Actively participate in planning and creation of task lists
Qualifications:
  • A burning desire to be part of the development of the next big hit on console
  • A huge passion for games
  • Strong C# programming skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Degree in a relevant subject area e.g. Computer Science
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to create innovative solutions
  • Clear understanding and appreciation of schedules and milestones
  • Unity experience a plus
  • Commercial games experience is a huge plus, but if you don’t have it you will get from working at Press Play
