Whalegun seeks a launch manager to handle the launch our game Utopia 9 - A Volatile Vacation and take care of public relations (PR).
We seek a person who is well-versed in social media communication and possesses community management skills. We are looking for a structured and creative person who can plan and design our launch and execute it. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is flexible and can adapt quickly to changing goals and objectives. This person will also be organized and able to work independently while contributing to the goals of the team.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a small company based in Copenhagen developing computer games. Rune Holm (code) and Mathias Severin (graphic) founded Whalegun late summer 2014. In late spring 2015 Poul (management) joined the company.
Our first project, Utopia 9 - A Volatile Vacation, is planned for release spring 2016.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- - Develop and handle PR strategies through pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases
- Understand the launch process, marketing objectives & sales methodologies
- Create a launch-plan for Utopia 9 - A Volatile Vacation and execute it
- Provide counsel to us (developers) regarding incoming media requests
- Write and edit press releases and online materials about Utopia 9 - A Volatile Vacation
- - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in, public relations and marketing
- A modern communicator with interest and experience in social media events
- The skills to create and execute a launch plan for a computer game
- Demonstrate knowledge of games and the game industry
- - A passionate gamer
- Experience with Steam
