NVC – Game & Entertainment

Lead programmer with team for a premium partnership in the Chibi Ville 2D Unity game project.
The main focus of the position is to be the driving force behind implementing a highly intuitive and polished Game design and UI for our upcoming product: Chibi Ville

Qualifications
It is a big advantage if you have most of these:
Created at least one project with Unity. Please enclose links to previous titles.
Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills
Great sense of detail and usability. Able to feed back regarding game flow and storey board
you and your team are expected to be responsible, reliable and keen on keeping our deadline.
Reviewing and commenting current story board and game play. Please provide information regarding your preferred flowcharts, story boards and work flow.
Create live mock up from our story board fast – 1-2 days. A “grey-mesh” version (with colored artwork) / a live raw version.

Company
NVC is founded by app development, agency and hard ware industries veterans from such companies as LBI, SnS and Hewlet Packard. The focus of the company is to create a high-quality social/casual games. Our current main project is a "social game builder", sharing similarities with both Smurfs and Farm Ville, but an altogether different beast.
Philosophy
NVC (non violent communication) Game & Entertainment. The non violent is a critical part to the Chibi Ville founders. Chibi (ちび or チビ?) is a Japanese slang word meaning "short person" or "small child" – keywords: cute, non violent, happy, helpful, talented and very social

Salary and benefits
We are on a tight start-up budget, so candidates should not apply for this job to get rich (upfront), but for the love of creating quality games and to become part of the indie game development culture of Copenhagen. The position is also a great opportunity to learn from experienced concept developers with experience in introducing a product / app / game to a global audience. We will work with our US partners bringing this game to the market. Apart from app stores the game will be marketed off line in stores across EU and in all 50 US states and on line.
For the right candidate and team, this position is a great entry point for a career within NVC as partners. There will be many interesting challenges beyond launching the game.

Partnership
We have secured a mayor part of the upcoming net revenue and will share that equally between partners (management, business development, programmers and platform services).
We need support creating an application that hopefully will secure founding from DFI / Spilordningen. Our main target group is girls 6 – 12 years. Founding will be shared with main focus on the development team.

Team
We bring an exiting brand with 4 million online users on an exiting (OLD school) web platform, 7 million registries user, 50 million cards sold in retail and an upcoming DVD release supporting the new Chibi character. Main markets USA and EU. New markets Japan and Australia.

Platforms
Unity – launch iOS (iPhone / iPod), second step iOS iPad and third step Android 2.2+. Facebook application and integration is a part of our briefing – TBD. NVC have in house experience and resources in dealing with in-app purchases and uploading to Appstore and Android Marked. We expect visions ready to upload and tuned in to app stores terms and conditions.

Marketing
We will be a part of a global campaign. Print (cards and store display) and online (website and facebook).

Artwork
We have artwork in Highres Illustrator format. Please find examples enclosed of our main characters and some backgrounds. Please handle artwork as under signed non disclosure agreement.

Sound
Overall theme will be provided and individual game play relevant sounds will be provided. Sound designers are working with a universal “cute” sound that accompaniers / supports hooves , neighing, snort, grunt, whinny and a nicker sound.
