Press Play looking for interns
Are you an aspiring artist, programmer or game designer and looking for an internship from August? Then make sure to apply for one with Press Play’s award winning team.
What we are looking for
We are looking for one 3D artist and one game designer or programmer. For all positions it will be an advantage if you have worked with Unity or other engines before and for programmers knowledge of C# or C++ is mandatory.
When we look for interns (and this goes for all hirings) we look first and foremost at your portfolio. We definitely recommend that you include all game-like stuff you have worked on and make sure to include short descriptions of the projects and your role in them. CV and a short motivated application are expected. We need your application by email to ole@pressplay.dk before June 14th.
The Internship
The internship lasts from August to December. We expect interns to be working on full time but we are of course flexible when needed. The internship starts out as unpaid but several interns have previously been offered paid work during their internship.
From August to December we expect to have 1-2 console games in development as well as a few smaller games for clients on PC. We do not know yet to which projects the interns will be connected and we cannot say anything about platforms either. Game development is fun but it is also hard work when projects need to executed well I short time. We expect interns to take part in both.
About Press Play
Press Play is a 4 years old game studio based in central Copenhagen. We were founded with the aim to do better flash games for clients but has since 2008 focused on developing own IP console titles. In January this year we released Max & the Magic Marker for Wii. The game has been very well received and has won more than a handful awards including the “IGF Vision Award 2010”. The game is now on the way to other platforms.
Press Play right now employs seven developers on full time, two full time contractors and two interns. We are located in the very center of Copenhagen in the “Game house in Pilestræde” where we share offices with 10 other very cool game studios.
