PortaPlay is presently working on the childrens game Ib, about a happy dog, his sidekick Mouse, evil rats, sausages, snowballs, racing cars, trashcans and scared little piggies. For this project, we are looking for an upcoming level designer, who is interested in getting better at actual leveldesign in Unity. –e.g. a student or recently graduate.

The project
We could use your help with adding extra content for our childrens game Ib, which is a physics based and story driven 2D-3D platformer. The game is developed for an existing IP, with international distribution of books, e-books and animation series. The game will be launched in 2013, on both android and appstores, for both touch phones and pads and is backed by Gyldendahl, DR and SF Films.

Your tasks
We need you to implement nice-to-have story and gameplay features, tweak controls and feel and implement new gameplay. Typically your work will center around playing the levels, identifying gameplay weaknesses and “boring areas”, tweaking existing content and conceptualizing new and fun gameplay scenarios. The projects is in full development and almost all assets is done and most of the technical stuff is also fixed, so it will be fun content development, not bugged down by lack of assets or missing features.

Your skills
Must: Unity experience, game design / level design experience
Nice-to-haves: PlayMaker and/or scripting experience

What is in it for you
Further training in Unity and PlayMaker
High profile childrens game on the portfolio

The formalia
The internships are unpaid and can range from 1 to 6 month, either part or full time.
The internships is planned to start December or asap after this date.
