Press Play is hiring: Experienced Gameplay Programmer

Press Play is looking for an experienced Gameplay Programmer to work on our next platformer. The Gameplay Programmer will collaborate with the development team to innovate and prototype new gameplay mechanics, realize the design in solid code, and see the work through to game submission. We are looking for candidates who possess excellent communication skills and can spar effectively with gameplay designers and animators.

Candidates must have worked on at least two titles in a programming role with a focus on gameplay and likely have experience in areas like player movement and locomotion, player handling and controls, combat systems, and AI. The ideal candidate has shipped one or more console games in the role of gameplay programmer and also has experience with multiplayer or co-op gameplay. Experience working with Unity is a plus, but not a requirement.

Press Play is an award-winning game development studio based in the center of Copenhagen. Since 2006, we have brought more than twenty games to multiple platforms for clients, publishers, and ourselves. In 2012, our studio was acquired by Microsoft and we are now part of the Microsoft Studios family. Our setup, however, is creatively independent and not at all corporate. We work exclusively on Press Play IP, having most recently released Max: The Curse of Brotherhood (the first Unity-based game to ship on the Xbox One) and Tentacles: Enter the Mind.
