TECHNICAL LEAD

Chroma’s Technical Director will be responsible for the design and architecture, development, integration and ongoing support of core technologies used across our portfolio. The Technical Director will also be responsible for the management of a small engineering team, coordinating with other leaders in the organization on setting priorities, scheduling development, identifying and mitigating technical risks, and working directly with game development teams.

Essential Functions:
• Work with other members of the technical team to identify technical needs, opportunities, and risks; additionally the Technical Director will work closely with other production leaders in setting priorities, schedules, and technical requirements.
• Analyze pipelines, processes, technical budgets, risks, technical and process standards, and technical staff performance and staffing needs and provide useful, actionable feedback and plans to address problems and capitalize on opportunities.
• Spearhead the design, architecture, documentation, implementation and maintenance of software systems developed and supported by Chroma’s technical team.

Requirements:
• Computer Science degree, Information Science degree, or equivalent industry experience
• Expert C/C++ programming and Unity skills with experience in C#, php, shared logic, and cloud-based services
• Broad range of experience across multiple platforms including Windows, OSX, Linux, iOS, Android
• Extensive knowledge of software development best practices, patterns and anti-patterns
• At least five years of C++ programming experience in the games industry
• At least five shipped titles of excellent quality on mobile and/or Facebook platforms
• Strong analytical, math and problem-solving skills



SENIOR/LEAD ART

We are seeking an inspirational Senior Artist that has a strong background in building character and worlds. This individual will work collaboratively with our partners and CCO to create and deliver our newest project’s visual identity while maintaining the visual integrity, look and feel in all art domains, and ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality.

Role and responsibilities

• Sets the visual direction for content in the game.
• Is responsible for creating visual targets and maintaining the look and feel of all content within the game.
• Maintains the visual integrity throughout the entire project ensuring consistency and highest quality.
• Manages the creation of art developed both internally and by third parties.
• Has advanced understanding of character, prop, world, and animation creation and can demonstrate/direct how these visually serve the gameplay, narrative, design and existing IP
• Establishes quality and style expectations from a consumer point of view.
• Proactively ensures the style supports the target demographic and consumer expectations.
• Works closely with marketing; partners with marketing to expand the target demographic through limited driving of market trends.
• Able to mentor and grow artists.
• Solves problems across the product.
• Uses time effectively.
• Experienced in both 2D and 3D pipelines and best practices, with a focus on optimizing for mobile
