UI/UX designer for simplified complexity (PAID)

Unread post by demoking » 28 May 2015, 00:10

Hello People of the gaming world,

My team and I are developing an intelligent study space for university students in order to accommodate the digitalization of content that institutions are rapidly resorting to. Fortunately for us, students are still reading their academic material in Acrobat Reader – an often inadequate program – and no-one is providing the proper tools to handle this digitized content. So we will!

We are creating our software in Unity 3D because we are heavily inspired from intelligent gaming UI and science fiction movies, but we want to combine that complexity of dashboards and data with a simplicity and minimalism that provides the contemplation that students need when they engage with challenging material. Basically, we want to take gamification to a new level; not by handing out points, stars and badges, but by creating an environment that quantifies the reading experience and makes it enjoyable.

What we are looking for is a skilled UI/UX designer and we are looking right here because we think that conventional design of established firms sucks! We are tired of flat design and the assimilating crowd-pleasing out there, and we want to challenge our audience – all the while giving them an experience they will remember and keep returning to.

For now, we are looking for a freelancer that can help us visualize our own vision, but soon enough we will be needing a full-time employee. We will expect to see your portfolio and we expect you to be a sincere and cool person with whom we would potentially like to hang out. Also, we expect that you are creative as fuck.

We are located in Copenhagen and our project, OPAL, is currently part of two accelerators: Thinkubator and Stardust. We have wind in our sails and our ambitions are high. In addition, our team believes that skills should be rewarded, so this is indeed a paid job.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes
