Hi MovieStarPlanet,
When reading the job description, it sounds to me like you are looking for two people - a project manager and a lead designer. I've personally never met a highly skilled and visionary designer who also has a natural burning passion for creating personnel management policies and conducting salary negotiations. Have you considered hiring two people instead of one? A kick-ass project manager who knows loves personnel management - and a fantastic lead designer who dares to dream big? Something like this:
Project Manager
Responibilities
- Lead the company’s Game Designers and Data Analysts across projects
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and salary negotiations with all Game Designers and Data Analysts in the company
- Work with the Chief Product Officer in creating efficient workflows and pipelines for the design department
- Work with other Domain Leads (Programming, Art and Test) and HR in creating personnel management policies and HR related initiatives
About you
- Have a Managerial/Lead background and is familiar with management in theory and practice
- Experience with game or software productions, including the ability to maintain a project overview and continuously coordinate with your domain
- Have a strong ability to succeed through others!
- Have an general interest in products aimed at kids, tweens and teens
- Experience with directing external teams is a plus
Lead Designer
Responibilities
- Lead the company’s Game Designers and Data Analysts across projects and mentor and supervise them on a daily basis
- Make sure that the design being produced on the various teams meet quality targets as set by Management
- Create outsourcing briefs for external partners and review games being produced externally
- Work with game designers in creating game design solutions that facilitates our design processes and easy implementation
- Work with the Team Leads and CPO in creating concepts for new features and products and provide estimates for the expected game design work.
About You
- 5+ years of experience working professionally as a designer, preferably working with games in the online space
- A passion for social networks and games, especially aimed at kids and tweens
- A strong understanding of core social game mechanics, and game design in general
- Great communication skills – written and verbally – to communicate your ideas clearly
- Ability to analyze designs from an usability and economic perspective
- Knowledge and experience with design documentation, including visualization tools such as Photoshop
- Have a strong ability to succeed through others!
- Have an general interest in products aimed at kids, tweens and teens
- Experience with directing external teams as well as reviewing games produced externally is a plus

I have yet to meet a good "moviedirector+producer/project manager", but I have met some good "game designer/game director + project manager" (my self included, IMHO), so they do exist (the same way there is a lot of good "developers + project managers).
-but true, if you strive for absolute, artistic/management excellence, you will of cause be better of with 2 different profiles, as both the skillset and mentality often differs from these 2 "roles".
