Amazu Media looking for Lead, Backend and Game programmers

Amazu Media, developer of the comic gamebook “Light Apprentice” for iOS and Android, based in Viborg, Denmark is looking for a lead programmer, a game programmer and a backend programmer with experience in mobile games development to join our growing team. The successful candidates should be passionate about video games, comics, start-up culture, eager to face new challenges, and will work towards improving Light Apprentice’s code design, overall gameplay and functionality as well as the user experience for current and future game installments.

About Light Apprentice:
In Light Apprentice, comic book and RPG are integrated in a brand new way of interactive storytelling experience with a unique graphic style based on hand-drawn art, targeted for mobile platforms and later on desktop.
Chapter 1 was test-released in August 14th 2014, and we have been working on further chapters since then. We have just been granted new funding, and we aim to release Chapters 1 to 4 in November 2015.

The overall tasks include:
- Work on specific features to best achieve the intended vision for the game
- Build chapters from scratch using the tools developed so far
- Planning and development of exciting new features
- Optimize the gameplay and improve the user experience
- Manage his/her own time the most effective way

The ideal candidate has/is/must be:
- 2+ years of experience in the specific role, preferably in mobile gaming development
- 4+ years of experience in working with Unity 2D/3D and good understanding of its architecture
- Mathematics/computer science/software engineer degree or equivalent
- Launched two or more titles on iOS, Android, and/or Steam
- Familiar with Free-to-Play business model and code design/programming techniques
- Passionate about video games, comics and start-up culture
- Working on site in Viborg
