to join our user acquisition and data analysis team to work on user acquisition and game management tools.
As a backend engineer at Tactile Entertainment you will join a team of both gameplay focused engineers and
technically minded engineers. You will get the opportunity to work on a very broad range of server technologies
related to operating a modern mobile game.
You will primarily be working on critical web based tools for managing our games and marketing activities. These are
all developed in NodeJS with MongoDB and PostgreSQL as the storage components.
Additionally you will be working with our game analytics database infrastructure. We use Vertica DB for data analysis
on recent analytical data. Additionally we maintain an Amazon Redshift cluster, allowing us to make decisions based
on life time player behavior.
General Responsibilities
- • Improving and extending existing user acquisition tools
• Implementing new and improving/extending existing game web services
• Improving and extending existing tools that support operation of our live games
• Improving and extending existing game analytics infrastructure
- • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript
• Experience with web services (RESTful) and web technologies in general
• Experience with NodeJS
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Experience with writing SQL queries
• Excellent data structure skills
• Great attention to detail
• Be independent and pro-active
• Team player - strong collaboration skills to support working across projects
- • Experience with Facebook Graph API and especially Facebook Marketing API
• Experience with Heroku
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, Redshift)
• Interest in data analysis using SQL
