Level Designer Internship
Who are we?
Ghost Ship Games is a Danish game development studio, founded in the spring of 2016 by a group of veteran game developers after years of working together. We want to turn Ghost Ship Games into a solid game studio, able to compete with other mid-size game studios on Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Our motto is simple: Co-op First.
We want to take Co-op to the next level and to make great games, focused on the core gamer.
For the big studios, co-op is a bullet point. For us, it is the whole point
What can we offer?
We offer an unpaid internship in a genuine game development environment. You will take part in the production of the game, and we expect you to deliver quality work in an efficient manner.
You will receive hands-on experience with game development across the aspects of design, technical implementation, and planning. The game project you will work on is Deep Rock Galactic and it is in an early state of development. Your work will result in direct influence on the finished game. The game is developed in Unreal Editor 4.
The specific assignments will include tasks like developing rule-systems for level-generation, as well as development and implementation of specific levels and missions, including tests and feedback. You will work in close collaboration with the whole team, under guidance of our Game Director and Designer.
What do we expect from you?
First and foremost, we expect you to possess a burning desire for developing video games. We expect that you bring along deep knowledge on games and level design, and that you are capable of utilizing that knowledge in your work. We expect that you are receptive to constructive feedback, and interested in learning from the experience and the input you get from the practical work on the game. And finally, we expect that you will engage yourself personally in the work, and would like you to be an active participant in our internal discussion of the game.
How to contact us?
If you are our new Level Design intern, then send a quick motivated application to soren@ghostship.dk.
