The short WHO
Untied Entertainment (single dev, ie just me) is currently developing it's first VR title. I'm a seasoned game developer with a good portion of shipped titles, both big and small as a game/level designer, 3d and graphics artist and the last few years as someone who codes a lot (see how elegantly I avoided claiming to be worthy of the "coder" title?).
The short WHAT
The first game is still in its early stages, and quite lightweight in it's requirements. I believe I've found commercially viable market opportunities, which I have chosen to focus on. I'm working in Unity and a fully working prototype is well underway in just a short time. I admit I do have a weakness for sci-fi and retro synth music.
The game and my very "non-danish development process" would probably require a longer coffee talk. As a business proposition my focus is just that - on the business aspect. Games themselves are important (though exists as services or fire and forget products in business terms), but for me the true value of game development lies in the people and business models for day-to-day creativity and productivity ... so my priority is on the last two.
The short HOW
I have no doubt I can finish what I started, but as quality and time frame matters, I've expanded my options for a partner, perhaps even two. Current arrangement is already funded and shipping ambitions have been scaled to match those standards, which I am content with.
However - there are new funding possibilities if I were to raise the bar a bit, but this would very likely require partners in crime who are able to "free me" from some time consuming technical challenges. I am positive either way, but wanted to see if there was anyone out there who is itching to really find out what they can really do.
Note: To be clear, this is not a hobby project, and would require fulltime within a very near future. And everything that goes with being an independent developer.
The super-short SUMMARY
I'm awesome, you're awesome, let's make something awesome! Highest of fives!
Naturally this is by no means the complete brief: If the above has peaked your interest (or if you happen to be a curious freelancer or investor), drop me a mail
Sincerely,
Daniel Windfeld
