Community Manager for CREY Games

Welcome to the CREY Live Operations Team! With a focus on both amazing game builders and game players, the everyday life at CREY is versatile, adventurous and a lot of fun. We are looking for a Community Captain who understands the importance of mixing various disciplines: Social Media Activities, Community Content Video Production, Player interaction, and Game builder interaction. Our team’s main mission is to fuel the growth of our builders and players across the CREY platform.
Our role is to continuously make sure we have our users on board our development journey. We must make sure to satisfy our target audiences’ needs and wants. We do this across all touchpoints – from research on new concepts, to how we reach out to millions of players and builders through our marketing campaigns, and fresh community content. We want them to be engaged through our social networks and within our product.
As a member of the Live Operations Team, you will be a vital communication bridge between the developers and the users of CREY. As responsible for the community, you will have ownership of the Community Strategy for the social media, providing users with experiences that drive deeper engagement, both through engaging directly with users and by bringing actionable feedback to the Live Operations Team as the voice of the user.
Responsibilities
- Manage, grow and nurture safe and fun community spaces for CREY users
- Develop and execute on the social media and community strategy you present along with relevant stakeholders. This includes a content plan as well as tracking of relevant community KPIs
- Be the voice of the user, bringing actionable feedback to the Live Operations Team to improve the user experience and analyzing and reporting on the community sentiment
- Be the voice and the face of the game by participating in livestreams and videos for the community
- Act as a point of contact and manage relationship with any key influencers, moderators, community voluntary guides etc. Working together with the stakeholders in order to execute in line with business goals and healthy growth
- Stay on top of community management trends to maximize the impact of your community endeavors and explore new possibilities across product and social media
Personal Attributes
It is vital that you understand the language spoken across social media. E.g.: You know how to drop a candidate for front page on Reddit and/or Imgur, get spoken about on Twitter, and interact on Discord and other platforms. It is your role to deliver engaging content for the community, such as builder challenges, play challenges, and other various activities that you imagine will bring our users closer to our product and each other. Give them the spotlight they deserve. Let’s get creative.
Knowledge & Experience
Proven experience as Community Manager
Adept at utilizing social media platforms such as Reddit, YouTube, Discord, Imgur etc. in a B2C environment (know how to speak the ‘language’ on each social platform)
Experience setting up and growing communities at different stages of their lifecycle
Experience coordinating and managing the content (images and videos) across all relevant platforms
A genuine love of games and the communities surrounding them.
Native or near-native English speaker
Excellent communication and conflict management skills
Know how to solve a conflict and de-escalate potential negative behavior
Intermediate skills in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or other image/video editing tools
Ability to process large amounts of information rapidly, keeping track of different simultaneous activities in your communities, as well as collaborating with different stakeholders in multiple projects or campaigns
