If you are interested in Game Publishing and are initiative-driven and proactive at heart, then we have the job for you!

The Game and The Team
As our employee, your contributions will be seen by millions of players worldwide. Our game Deep Rock Galactic proudly ranks among the top 50 highest-rated games on Steam, with one of the most active and welcoming player communities. Our close interaction with our community is at the core of our Open Development approach, where you will also have a significant role.

Based in Copenhagen, we are a team of 46 people organized into 5 departments, led by 6 founders with a very flat hierarchy. We work really closely with one another, but have very different roles in each of our projects. This role will be connected to the Administrative department. As a Publishing Manager on our team, you will gain extensive experience in publishing, business, and marketing for our current and future projects.

Your Contribution
As our new publishing manager, you'll work closely with the Head of Publishing. Your role will include making sure that all games we publish internally and externally have everything they need to be successfully published on all relevant platforms.

Your role will also involve publishing support of live titles after they are released. Publishing support includes:

Product setup on all platforms, Store Page management;
Localization, PR & marketing planning, certification, age ratings;
Business cases, milestone evaluation, financial forecasts;
Release management setup, merchandising agreements, handling porting to other platforms, and any other areas required to publish and maintain a game.
You will be working together directly with the development team at Ghost Ship Games, as well as the external development studios for any games we publish.

We are seeking
For this position, we are specifically looking for a person with hands-on experience in bringing games from the start of development to release and post-launch support. While formal academic qualifications aren't required, hands-on experience with game development and/or publishing is essential. We are seeking someone proactive and experienced, who can take on responsibilities and carry out the necessary tasks independently, and does not need extensive training. Previous experience as a Publishing Manager, Game Producer, or other leadership role within game development/publishing is vital. Experience with every part of the game development process, from early concept to post-launch support, is necessary for this role.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who:
Is ready to take on challenges, and can communicate with different stakeholders with ease

Is result-driven rather than task-focused

Is a facilitator by nature and can collaboratively develop a comprehensive plan with everyone involved

Proactive in learning new tools, systems, techniques etc.

We offer
At GSG, we create games we'd like to play ourselves - and the same mentality goes for the office we work in. We offer an industry-competitive salary, as well as a great yearly bonus scheme. Our employees are our main priority, so we strive to treat our team well. We have a strict 'No Crunch' policy as an everyday rule.

You’ll be expected to primarily work at the office, but we also offer optional work-from-home days and flexible hours. In addition, we provide six weeks of paid vacation, extra days off, a solid pension scheme, health and dental insurance, as well as paid parental leave. We are currently in the process of moving to a new office in the heart of Copenhagen with plenty of space for everyone.

We welcome everyone to apply, no matter who you are or what you love – your unique qualities and perspectives make our team stronger and more awesome. So, bring your passion and come aboard the ship!
