Unread post by timgarbos » 01 Mar 2013, 16:35

We are happy to announce the new Exile Jam poster (We announced the jam a long time ago, but now we have a an amazing poster).
Get away from the daily life and join other developers for a few creative and cozy days at the old folk highschool Vallekilde. May 1st - May 5th 2013.
It's not about the competition, it's about collaborating and making new things. People are also welcome to bring their own projects and jam on them.

More info at: http://exile.dk
The poster is made by Pernille Sihm!

Dear Exilers,

Help wanted!
I don't have a laptop to develop on. Could anyone help me with getting my desktop transported to Exile?
Is there anyone going by car, departing from or passing by Copenhagen who has space left?

Please let me know by a reply or sending a mail (thomas at mimicrygames dot com)

I appreciate it!

~Thomas

Too busy with my own project though.

awww.. cute :)
Dick & Huppo - First Adventure
Dick is a duck and Huppo is a hippo. They live on a tiny, colorful island. Every sunday they go on adventures, swimming in the sea and shooting baloons.

This game was made in 24 hours by Morten Mygind, Peter Bruun & Pernille Sihm at Exile Game Jam, Spring 2013.

Var der awesome stuff ellers?

I just noticed that André posted a video of their game. It was pretty horrific...

I made the super minimalistic puzzle game Heads during the game jam. The gameplay is similar to Tetris – you move and rotate a cluster of blocks in the top of the screen, and then drop the cluster to the bottom of the screen. The objective of the game is to create either black or white heads, meaning clusters of blocks containing two eyes and a mouth in the same colour. Once a head has been completed, it will disappear and leave room for more blocks.

Here's a detailed blog post about the Exile Game Jam that happened last week, complete with a short description of all/most of the games that were made and presented there :)

I was working with Anders Lystad Brevik on behalf of Kvasir Games on a digital version of our board game Mussades.

This is awesome :D and it shows some of the other creative ways that the device can be used. I'll just wait for the "Jump out of a plane" simulator, would be awesome to be laying on some platform so it feels like you're jumping..
