Update: Hmmm.. I honestly don't know about the game. I guess it's a acquired taste and simply not for me! Award nominations and steam players who bought it seems happy. So that's great!
Personally after about 9 minutes in I didn't feel like continuing (And it's completely unfair grounds for judging the entire production. Which I am not). The aesthetics is sort of nice in it's own quirky way. But honestly I was just super bored. Characters and dialog was just not enough to keep me interested. I'll take (as recently played comparable production) Forgotton Anne over this any day. Even with all it's troublesome issues.
But give Mutazione a shot while it's free and see if it's a match for you. A large plus for controller support in an adventure game! yay!

I know a few people who are working/have worked on the product.
Personally not really sold here. But the kiddo might be . Looks like 15 minutes of gimmicky fun before hitting the dust shelf. Like Nintendo LABO.
Also looks like there will be smashed LEGO pieces all over the place from basic use when the kiddos gets theirs hands on this.
And "Squario" doesn't look that hot.

Broadly people on the internet just want proper Mario minifigs it seems.
All in all it doesn't look like a super home run. But I'm sure it will do pretty fine in sales.
Let's see how it pans out! And maybe it is actually genuinely fun?!

Amplify Occlusion is now free on GitHub. It has been deprecated on the Asset Store
We used it in Broken Lines. Nice results! Latest versions looks even better. Looks far superior to Unity's built in AO solutions.

I'm not sure if it works with the newer rendering pipelines (URP (formerly LWRP) and the HDRP) though. Unity's own AO doesn't even work in 2019 or 2020.1 beta last time I checked. Unity honestly feels like performing open heart surgery with a spoon and a rubber hammer at the moment.
But will test it out!
