A bunch of new video talks has landed on the Nordic Game vimeo page following the event in Malmö last week.
Also Returnal from the Finnish Housemarque took home the award show big time. No awards for Denmark in this round!
Otherwise I had a splendid time at the conference talking to old friends and colleagues. You could certainly feel the budget had been toned down broadly compared to previous years after 2 years+ of corona stuff. Understandably so. So it was not as fancy with gala dinner and what not this year.
Epic had a large booth on the show floor. Unity was not present interestingly enough.
I only spotted a single Danish game being displayed in the indie booth area.
Skipped out on the party.. 2 hours of waiting, it was raining and people was kicked out of the venue and I was tired so I just went home. That could have went more smooth (Or I am just too old
). But I had a fun day regardless!
Oh yeah.. I only saw one talk! The Ste Curran one. It was ok! Otherwise I was constantly bumping into people I needed to catchup with. Didn't even get to talk to everyone I know.
The new host Maria Mejerwall did a great job.
