Position: Lead 3D Artist
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Location: Copenhagen NV (Required physical attendance, with a possibility to occasionally work from home)
Heil ok sæll!
We are looking for a dedicated, brave and talented artist to join us on a quest for glory. It is not an easy quest. It will be perilous, full of trials and tribulations. But if we succeed - and we plan to - the reward is glory, personal growth, Nakama, and hopefully riches beyond measure. Enough to go around, and as the lead artist you will get a lion’s share of what we achieve.
Who are we?
We are Aura, or Aura Interactive, a small indie studio located for now in the North Western part of Copenhagen, Denmark. A small studio with a big dream of radiating good vibrations with interactive experiences. Made with the love of passionate creative individuals that care about what they create.
At our core we value:
Openness: All input is valuable and must be shared and respected openly.
Honesty: Give honest input and react honestly on the input given.
Equality: All are equal in the creative process and big decisions are made democratically within the team.
Freedom: You are only obligated to one thing: To help create a great game.
What is ‘Codename: Ragnarok’?
We cannot explain it in detail as the game has yet to be announced, and we want to keep it this way for now. Even ‘Codename: Ragnarok’ is a placeholder title. But what we can give out of information is the following:
It is inspired by the nordic saga of Ragnarok
It is a single player story driven Action Roguelike meets FTL, and Rogue Genesia.
We plan to release an Early Access version at the latest: Q4 2025 or Q1 2026
Preferable personality traits
You are an artist with at least a few years of experience and a good understanding of creating games - preferably you have professional examples from the indie scene with you. You thrive in a collaborative environment, adapt quickly, and maintain a flexible approach.
While you thrive as a motivated team player, you’re also comfortable working independently when needed, and can take charge of the artistic direction yourself. You prefer the idea of working in an indie environment with a focus on creating an amazing game, prioritizing creativity over just checking off tasks.
